Who should play?

It doesn't matter if you are a casual fan, a fanatic or beginner, knowing nothing about football.  LTFFL is for everyone.

For the casual fan it presents an opportunity to dive into the NFL more deeply, to learn more and gain powerful insite.
For the fanatic, it gives you a chance to prove your vast knowledge and strategy, to see how it measures up.
For the beginner, it will teach more more about the NFL, football and statistics quickly and easily, and most important it is extremely fun.

Historically it has shown that more often those that think they know everything about football do not always finish on top.  Many times they succumb to the prejudicial decisions and not on the real facts and stats.  A beginner or casual fan can easily compete by staying up on what is going on, watching the injury lists and reading the various articles or watching the news shows.

More then anything if you want to have a real good time, and watch the months fly by, join LTFFL.

Why should I play?

Owning a fantasy team makes watching any NFL game or seeing any highlight reel more exciting. You feel like you're a part of the game.  You will be alert for every bit of media, every bit of news on your players and all players in the NFL so you can have just that little bit of edge.

Win on Sunday...Talk trash on Monday.  Never be left out of the water cooler conversation again.   I guarantee you that if you play and turn in a line up each week.  You will learn more about football and football statistics then ever before.

And why not?  What do you have better to do, sit home and watch "Survivor" and "Who wants to be a Millionaire?"  If you have done it before you know how much fun it is.  If you haven't done it before you are in for a real treat.

How does it work?

You "draft" a team of NFL players and  join a 8-12 team league.

You act as coach and decide which of your players to start each week. If your players score more points than your opponent, you win the week.  Weekly prizes of $10 are awarded to the League winners with the most points overall for the week.

At the end of the 12-week season, the top 8 l teams compete in a 4 week playoff bracket to compete for the title of LTFFL league champion.

How do I submit roster transactions including add/drops, Trades, IR and starting lineups?

It is hoped to have an online solution for submitting transactions during the early weeks of LTFFL 2000.  At this time no exact date can be given or even how effective it will be.  In the meantime please follow the following instructions for submitting Transactions.

Preferred Method - EMAIL: (With all the transactions that occur, the many teams and the different owners having multiple teams the subject line helps me sort email)

1) Send an Email to:  "rosters@gr8mutato.net"

Subject:  League (A,B)/ Team Name/Type of Transaction

Body of Message:  Include all information about your transactions.  Include 1st, 2nd or more choices for Add/Drops in case you selection is gone at processing time.

Alternate Method - Vmail:

1) Call and leave Vmail at 801-579-2370 with League, Team Name and your transaction.

Where can I find scores and stats for my team and League ?

All scores and states are posted to the LTFFL website (currently http://www.gr8mutato.net/ltffl).  Each league has it's own stats page with various VERY usefull reports (if you haven't analyzed the information out there you really should).   This information is updated on Schedule each Tuesday (Noon) and Thursday (Noon) and Saturday (Midnight) unless otherwise indicated by Da' Comish.   It will be updated more frequently as needed or as time permits.

NEW(9/15/99):  I can email all owners that request all reports each time the website is updated.  They would be sent in RTF format as attachments in Email.

What is the deadline for starting lineups and transactions ?

Both transaction and starting lineup deadlines are by kickoff each week.  This means they need to be timestamped as received in my inbox (Vmail or Email) before kickoff!!  No exceptions.

When are transaction processed?

Transaction are processed at a minimum each Tuesday, Friday and Sunday just before kickoff.  Transactions will ONLY be posted during normal publishing timeframes listed above, but owners submitting transactions will receive confirmation Email or Vmail once they are processed.

Rosters and Transactions are frozen each week from kickoff to 12:01 PM (Mountain) each Tuesday.  No transactions will be accepted and all will be deleted or ignored.

What happens if I don't submit a starting lineup or miss the deadline?

Week 1 is critical and you had better.  If not Da' Comish will pick one for you.    After Week 1 if you neglect to submit a starting lineup or miss the deadline then you lineup reverts to the previous week's lineup.  LET IT RIDE . . . as it be.

Where can I sign up for the mailing list or participate in league polls?

There is a link for the mailing list and polls site on the home page.  Go there and sign up now.  Although much of the information about the league is posted on the webpage, there is additional information including smack talk that makes it way through the email list.

Where can I find a list of Free Agents (Undrafted Players) so I can add them to my Team?

Free agents or Undrafted players can be found under your Leagues reports on the World Wide Web.  The key reports to look at are:

Player Point Ranking:  List of top players in each position by avg.points scored so far in the year.  The 4th column indicates if the player is on a team or not.  If not on a team then submit your transaction fast as they are processed on a first come first serve basis.  If on a team and you still want them, you will have to work a trade with the owner of that franchise.

Weekly Winning Report:  This shows a list of the top 20 performers each week and the team they are on and if they were started or not.

Franchise Rosters:  A list of each teams rosters can help determine what teams players are on.  Remember that transactions are upated on througout the week so the two reports listed above can be outdated later in the week.

Other reports to check out that contain players statistics but not necessarily the fantasy points are:
